How is the "Exploded Chair" by Joyce Lin "good art"?

First I want to establish that the art I choose is considered art. As this assignment specifically art for personal opinion and views, I am going to use dictions that are considered to be personal. Art is an expression, story or emotion, and it must also serve a purpose. As both of these criteria are meet by the "Exploded Chair", this artwork by Joyce Lin is in fact art.
